Atovinum Evodia Garnacha Red Spanish Wine 750mL

$10.99

Rated 90 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate:
“This is really an amazing wine for the price. It is a fruit bomb, so those not wanting flavor, or in search of wimpy wines need to consider a light beer. Deep ruby/plum purple, with loads of blueberry and black currant fruit, underlying crushed rock notes and some floral scents are all present in this remarkable wine.” — Robert Parker
Rated 90 points from Vinous Media; January 2016:
“(aged for five months in stainless steel and concrete tanks): Brilliant ruby. Smoky, spice-accented blueberry and boysenberry aromas are complicated by suggestions of candied violet and white pepper. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering intense black and blue fruit flavors enlivened by juicy acidity. The floral note repeats emphatically on the long, gently tannic finish, which leaves allspice and blue fruit notes behind. These vines, many of which are reportedly more than a century old, are planted between 850 and 950 meters above sea level. The wine is a remarkable value as it offers the fruit intensity and floral complexity of many wines that cost easily two or three times the price. Drink: 2016-2020.” – Josh Raynolds
