Flanked by two mountain ranges, the Monts Auréliens and the Sainte-Victoire (made famous by Cézanne’s paintings), the sloped
vineyards benefit from a southern exposure. The vineyards cover 26 hectares (about 62 acres). Since the late 1700’s Michel
d’Espagnet’s family has owned the actual Château de Pourcieux, located just miles east of the picturesque town of Aix-en-Provence.
Low yields 20 hl per acre.
Chalky, gravelly clay, part terraced, part on slope.
