Seigneur de Lauris Cotes-du-Rhone 2011 French Red Wine

90 Points – International Wine Cellar, April 2014
“(65% grenache and 35% syrah): Dark red. Raspberry jam and white pepper on the highly perfumed nose and in the mouth. Supple and refreshingly tangy, with a hint of bitter chocolate sneaking up on the back half. Really leads with its fruit today and finishes spicy, silky and quite long, leaving a palate-numbing white pepper quality behind. This wine’s pinot-like display of red fruit belies the not-insignificant percentage of syrah in the blend.” -Josh Raynolds
